Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar honoured with Col.C.K.Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award at Naman awards in Mumbai. Sachin Tendulkar became the 31^st recipient of the honor.

The Col. C.K.Nayudu Lifetime Achievement was instituted in 1994 in honor of India’s first captain Col. C.K.Nayudu.

Tendulkar , represented India in 664 International games including 200 Tests , 463 ODIs and 1 T20I in his glorious career. He scored 15,921 Test runs , 18,426 ODI runs and 10 T20I runs for India.

Apart from his batting Sachin Tendulkar picked 46 Test wickets , 154 ODI wickets and 1 T20I wicket also.

Sachin Tendulkar made his International debut for India against Pakistan in 1989 when he was just 16 year old. He played for India over two decades.

Sachin Tendulkar was a member of Indian Cricket team that won the 2011 ODI World Cup under M.S.Dhoni. He retired from International cricket on November 16 , 2013. His final match was a Test against West Indies at Wankhede Stadium , Mumbai.

“Always value your game and take care of your game. I realized on that final day that I will never walk onto the field as a current India cricketer. Similarly once you retire then you will realize where you were a few years ago. So enjoy your games as you have a lot of cricket left in you as current India cricketers and stay away from distractions,” Sachin Tendulkar said after receiving the award.

Current India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah received Polly Umrigar Award for Best Men’s International cricketer for 2023-24. Women cricketer Smriti Mandhana received best International cricketer award in Women category.
