India lift ICC U-19 Women’s Cricket World Cup for second time in a row

Result:- India won by 9 wickets

India beat South Africa by 9 wickets and lift the ICC U-19 Women’s Cricket World Cup for the second time in a row. After bowled out South Africa for just 82 India chased down the target in inside 12 overs with 9 wickets in hand.

Opted to bat first on the final South Africa lost wickets at regular intervals. They lost half their side for just 44 runs in 12.4 overs.

Mieke van Voorst (23 runs from 18 balls) , opener Jemma Botha (16 runs from 14 balls) , Fay Cowling (15 runs from 20 balls) and Karabo Meso (10 runs from 26 balls) took South Africa to 82 in 20 overs.

Gongadi Trisha (3/15 in 4 overs) , Parunika Sisodia (2/6 in 4 overs) , Aayushi Shukla (2/9 in 4 overs) , Vaishnavi Sharma (2/23 in 4 overs) and Shabnam Shakil (1/7 in 2 overs) are the wicket takers for India.

Gongadi Trisha (44* runs from 33 balls) and Sanika Chalke (26* runs from 22 balls) partnership helped India chase down the target in 11.2 overs after loosing G Kamalini for just 8.

Kayla Reyneke (1/14 in 4 overs) is the only wicket taker for South Africa.
