With the Border Gavaskar Trophy tied at 1-1 , India and Australia will face each other at MCG in Boxing day test to take lead in the series.

If India beat Australia at MCG they can able to achieve hat-trick of wins at MCG and can retain Border Gavaskar Trophy.

If Australia win they will be on the road for the first test series win against India in a decade time.

According to Times of India report India skipper Rohit Sharma is likely to open the batting and K.L.Rahul will move to No.3 position.

India likely to play two spinners with Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja. In this case all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will miss out despite doing well with the bat.

Australian left arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc is just five wickets away from completing 700 international wickets and fourth Australian to achieve this milestone.

Australia named their playing XI for boxing day test against India which is scheduled to begin on December 26 (Thursday) in Melbourne Cricket Ground. They made two changes in their side.

Pacer Scott Boland replaced injured Josh Hazlewood and 19 year old opener Sam Konstas find a place in the XI in place of Nathan McSweeney.

Sam Konstas is set to become Australia’s youngest opener at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Travis Head , who suffered a groin injury during thrid test at Brisbane has been declared fit for the boxing day test. He is Australia’s most consistent player of the series so far.
