Tanush Kotian , Mumbai offspin-bowling allrounder to join India test squad for the fourth and fifth Border Gavaskar Trophy as Ashwin’s replacement. Ashwin retired from International cricket at the end of third test at Brisbane.

Kotian who is currently in Hyderabad as part of the Mumbai squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy is expected to fly to Melbourne on Tuesday. The fourth test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy starts on December 26 (Thursday).

Tanush Kotian so far played 33 first class games and picked 101 wickets with best bowling figures of 5/58. He also scored 1525 runs at an average of 41.21 including 2 hundreds and 13 fifties.

BCCI medical team declared veteran pacer Mohammed Shami unfit for the selection of final two tests.
