19 year old opener Sam Konstas made a memorable debut for Australia by scoring outstanding 65 ball 60 runs on Day 1 of fourth test at MCG. India pacer Jasprit Bumrah (3/75 in 21 overs) kept India in the game with his outstanding spell.

Opener Sam Konstas (60 runs from 65 balls) and Usman Khawaja (57 runs from 121 balls) given Australia a good start by putting 89 run opening stand. Left arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja broke the opening stand by trapping Sam Konstas in front of the stumps.

Sam Konstas scored 18 runs in Bumrah’s one over and making it the most expensive over of his test career so far. Jasprit Bumrah then pushed Australia back with his 3 wickets after their top three put up a good batting performance.

Sam Konstas (60 runs from 65 balls) , Usman Khawaja (57 runs from 121 balls) , Marnus Labuschagne (72 runs from 145 balls) , Steven Smith (68* runs from 111 balls) and Alex Carrey (31 runs from 41 balls) innings took Australia to 311/6 at end of day 1.

Jasprit Bumrah (3/75 in 21 overs) , Washington Sundar (1/37 in 12 overs) , Ravindra Jadeja (1/54 in 14 overs) and Akash Deep (1/59 in 19 overs) are the wicket takers for India so far.
