Australia Name Playing XI for Boxing Day Test against India

Australia named their playing XI for boxing day test against India which is scheduled to begin on December 26 (Thursday) in Melbourne Cricket Ground. They made two changes in their side.

Pacer Scott Boland replaced injured Josh Hazlewood and 19 year old opener Sam Konstas find a place in the XI in place of Nathan McSweeney.

Sam Konstas is set to become Australia’s youngest opener at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Travis Head , who suffered a groin injury during thrid test at Brisbane has been declared fit for the boxing day test. He is Australia’s most consistent player of the series so far.

India has decent record against Australia at MCG in past decade. In last 4 appearance India beat Australia twice , one ended in draw and one lost.

Australia Playing XI:- Usman Khawaja , Sam Konstas , Marnus Labuschagne , Steve Smith , Travis Head , Mitch Marsh , Alex Carey (wk) , Pat Cummins (c) , Mitchell Starc , Nathan Lyon , Scott Boland.
