New Zealand beat Bangladesh comfortably by 5 wickets and qualified for the semi-final in ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan and Bangladesh knocked out and India and New Zealand qualified for semis from Group A.

New Zealand restricted Bangladesh to 236/9 and chased down the target in 46.1 overs with 5 wickets remaining.

Tanzid Hasan (24 runs from 24 balls) and Najmul Hossain Shanto (77 runs from 110 balls) gives Bangladesh decent start by scoring 45 runs in 8.2 overs before Bracewell dismissed Tanzid Hasan.

Bangladesh then lost Mehidy Hasan Miraz (13 runs from 14 balls) , Towhid Hridoy (7 runs from 24 balls) , Mushfiqur Rahim (2 runs from 5 balls) and Mahmudullah (4 runs from 14 balls) cheaply.

Najmul Hossain Shanto (77 runs from 110 balls) , Jaker Ali (45 runs from 55 balls) and Rishad Hossain (26 runs from 25 balls) took them to 236/9 in their 50 overs.

Bracewell shines with the ball for Kiwis by picking 4 wickets for 26 runs in his 10 overs. Will O’Rourke (2/48 in 10 overs) , Kyle Jamieson (1/48 in 9 overs) and Matt Henry (1/57 in 9 overs) are the other wicket takers for New Zealand.

New Zealand lost opener Will Young for duck and Kane Willamson (5 runs from 4 balls) cheaply. Taskin Ahmed dismissed Will Young and Nahid Rana took the price wicket of Kane Williamson.

Left hand batter Rachin Ravindra’s (112 runs from 105 balls) brillant century including 12 fours and 1 six and Tom Latham (55 runs from 76 balls) partnership of 129 runs from 136 balls took New Zealand close to win.

Glenn Philips (21* runs from 28 balls) and Michael Bracewell (11* runs from 13 balls) remains unbeaten and finishes the game for Kiwis in 46.2 overs.

Taskin Ahmed (1/28 in 7 overs) , Mustafizur Rahman (1/42 in 10 overs) , Nahid Rana (1/43 in 9 overs) and Rishad Hossain (1/58 in 9.1 overs) are the wicket takers for Bangladesh.
