India begin their ICC Champions Trophy campaign with 6 wicket win over Bangladesh in Dubai. Elected to bat first Bangladesh bowled out for 228 and India chased it down in 46.3 overs with 6 wickets remaining.

Bangladesh top order got off to a horrible start with the bat by loosing 5 wickets for just 35 runs in 8.3 overs. Opener Soumya Sarkar , Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim got out without scoring.
Axar Patel missed hat-trick as captain Rohit Sharma dropped a simple catch in first slip. Axar Patel dismissed Tanzid Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim off the second and third deliveries of ninth over before Rohit Sharma dropped Jaker Ali of the fourth ball.

Towhid Hridoy (100 runs from 118 balls) and Jaker Ali (68 runs from 114 balls) record partnership of 154 runs from 206 balls rebuild Bangladesh innings. Hardik Pandya dropped a straight forward catch off Hridoy when he was batting on 23.

Veteran pacer Mohammed Shami who made a comeback to India squad after long injury break took 5 wickets for 53 runs in his 10 overs. Harshit Rana (3/31 in 7.4 overs) and Axar Patel (2/43 in 9 overs) are the other wicket takers for India.
India openers Rohit Sharma (41 runs from 36 balls) and Shubman Gill (101* runs from 129 ball) scored 69 runs and given India a good start in the chase before Rohit Sharma fell to Taskin Ahmed. Virat Kohli (22 runs from 38 balls) who played a scratchy knock once again fell to leg spinner.

India then lost Shreyas Iyer (15 runs from 17 balls) and Axar Patel (8 runs from 12 balls) cheaply. In a spot of bother Shubman Gill and K.L.Rahul (41* runs from 47 balls) took India home with their unbeaten partnership of 87 runs from 98 balls. Jaker Ali dropped K.L.Rahul when he was batting on 9.
Rishad Hossain (2/38 in 10 overs) , Taskin Ahmed (1/36 in 9 overs) and Mustafizur Rahman (1/62 in 9 overs) are the wicket takers for Bangladesh.
