Result:- India won by 142 runs

India whitewash ODI series against England 3-0 after beating England by 142 runs in third and final ODI at Ahmedabad. India set England 357 run target and bowled them out for 214 in 34.2 overs.

Shubman Gill (112 runs from 102 balls) and Virat Kohli (52 runs from 55 balls) gives India good start after loosing captain Rohit Sharma (1 run from 2 balls) early. Both put together 116 run stand for the second wicket.

Shreyas Iyer once again proved his consistency with bat at No.4 by scoring 78 runs from 64 balls including 8 fours and 2 sixes. K.L.Rahul (40 runs from 29 balls) also given useful contribution with the bat.

Adil Rashid was the pick of England bowlers by picking 4 wickets for 64 runs in his 10 over spell. He picked the key wickets of Virat Kohli , Shubman Gill , Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya.

Mark Wood (2/45 in 9 overs) , Joe Root (1/47 in 5 overs) , Saqib Mahmood (1/68 in 10 overs) and Gus Atkinson (1/74 in 8 overs) are the other wicket takers for England.

England openers Ben Duckett (34 runs from 22 balls) and Phil Salt (23 runs from 21 balls) given England a brisk start in the chase by scoring 60 runs in 6.2 overs before left arm pacer Arshdeep Singh dismissed both openers.

Indian bowlers put England batters under pressure by picking wickets at regular intervals. Tom Banton (38 runs from 41 balls) , Joe Root (24 runs from 29 balls) and Harry Brook (19 runs from 26 balls) got decent starts but failed to convert it in to a big one.

Left arm spinner Axar Patel clean bowled Gus Atkinson who played a cameo by scoring 38 runs from 19 balls to complete the whitewash.

Axar Patel (2/22 in 6.2 overs) , Harshit Rana (2/31 in 5 overs) , Arshdeep Singh (2/33 in 5 overs) , Hardik Pandya (2/38 in 5 overs) , Kuldeep Yadhav (1/38 in 8 overs) and Washington Sundar (1/43 in 5 overs) are the wicket takers for India.
