Nitish Kumar Reddy (105* from 176 balls) who hit his maiden ton batting at No.8 and Washington Sundar (50 runs from 162 balls) batting at No.9 reduced India deficit to 116 at end of day 3 of fourth test against Australia.

Nitish Kumar Reddy became third youngest batter to get a maiden test century in Australia after Sachin Tendulkar and Rishabh Pant. In his unbeaten ton so far he hit 10 fours and 1 six.
He and Washington Sundar put together 127 runs from 285 balls for the eight wicket when India struggling at 221/7. Nathan Lyon finally broke the partnership by dismissing Washington Sundar after reaching his half century.
Resuming the overnight score of 167/5 India lost Rishanbh Pant (28 runs from 37 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (17 runs from 51 balls) before Reddy and Sundar put up a fight.
Scott Boland (3/57 in 27 overs) , Pat Cummins (3/86 in 27 overs) and Nathan Lyon (2/88 in 27 overs) are the wicket takers for Australia so far.
At stumps on Day 3 , India were 358/9 with Nitish Kumar Reddy (105* from 176 balls) and Mohammed Siraj (2* runs from 7 balls) remains unbeaten.
