Indian top order once again collapsed after Australia post 445 on day 3 of third test at The Gabba , Brisbane. India were 51/4 in 17 overs at the end of day 3 that saw start stop play because of rain.

Resuming the overnight score of 405/7 Australia lost their last 3 wickets for 40 runs in first session. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah took 6 wickets for 76 runs in his 28 over spell.

Mohammed Siraj (2/97 in 23.2 overs) , Akash Deep (1/95 in 29.5 overs) and Nitish Reddy (1/65 in 13 overs) are the other wicket takers for India.

India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal (4 runs from 2 balls) , Shubman Gill (1 run from 3 balls) and Virat Kohli (3 runs from 16 balls) for just 22 runs on the board before lunch. Australia tightens grip as Pat Cummins dismissed Pant for 9 , leaving India 4/44.

K.L.Rahul (33* runs from 64 balls) is the only batter who looks comfortable in the middle. Captain Rohit Sharma who is yet to open his account will resume Indian innings along with Rahul on day 3.

Mitchell Starc (2/25 in 8 overs) , Pat Cummins (1/7 in 2 overs) and Josh Hazlewood (1/17 in 5 overs) are the wicket takers for Australia so far.

Weather forecast suggests that there is 55% chance of rain around 11 am.
