Mohammed Siraj has been fined 20% of his match fee and Travis Head reprimanded by International Cricket Council (ICC) after their on field spat in the second test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Adelaide.

“The incident occurred in the 82nd over when , upon dismissing the batter (Travis Head) , Siraj came within close proximity to him and gave him a send off by pointing towards the direction of Australia’s dressing room.

“Head too was sanctioned for breaching Article 2.13 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personal , which relate to the abuse of a player , player support personnel , umpire or match referee during an international match,” ICC said in a statement.

Both Travis Head and Mohammed Siraj have been handed a demerit point each by ICC.

After 10 wicket win over India Travis Head told he said “Well bowled” to Siraj , following which the bowler “pointed me in the sheds and I had my reactions as well.”

India pacer Siraj later said that it was Head who had “abused” him first and that it was a lie that he had said “well bowled”.
