Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announces India squad for the 5 match test series in Australia which is scheduled to begin from November 15. Fast bowler Harshit Rana and medium pace all-rounder Nitish Reddy gets maiden call-ups.

Rohit Sharma will lead the side with Jasprit Bumbrah as his deputy. Mohammad Shami who didn’t played any matches since 2023 ODI World Cup final didn’t find a place in the squad. He is working to regain full fitness after heel surgery in February.

Selectors picked three spinners R Ashwin , R Jadeja and Washington Sundar for the tour. Left arm spinner Axar Patel has been left out.

Kuldeep unavailable for selection as BCCI referred him to The BCCI Centre of Excellence after the ongoing test series against New Zealand for long term resolution of his chronic left groin issue.

Karnataka pacer Prasidh Krishna who returns to the test squad after injury break will join along with Jasprit Bumbrah , Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep.
