South Africa squad for Afghanistan and Ireland series announced (Image Credit:- X)

South Africa announced their squad for the upcoming white ball series against Afghanistan and Ireland which is scheduled to be held in UAE.

The tour will begin with three ODIs against Afghanistan on September 18th followed by 2 T20Is and 3 ODIs against Ireland beginning on September 27th.

Jasaon Smith ,Nqaba Peter and Andile Simelane have earned their maiden ODI call ups. Earlier this year all-rounder Jason Smith and leg spinner Nqaba Peter made their T20I debut.

21 year old Amdile Simelane who got his first call for the senior team has been part of South Africa emerging and A side recently and has been named in both the ODIs and T20I squads against Afghanistan.

Pacer Lungi Ngidi cameback to the side after recovered from a right calf injury suffered during the West Indies tour.

Quinton de Kock, who has yet to announce T20I retirement is not part of the squad while Kwena Maphaka who debuted against West Indies has also been left out.
