Srilanka captain Chamari Athapaththu signs 3 year deal with Sydney Thunders ahead of WBBL 2024-25 which is set to begin on October 27th.
Athapaththu, who played for Sydney Thunders last season finished the season with Player of the Tournament performance. She scored 552 runs at an average of 42.46 and took 9 wickets.

Sydney Thunders will open their 2024-25 campaign against Hobart Hurricanes on October 28th.
