Batting first, Ireland set India a target of 183 runs and then bowled India out for 148 to win comfortably. Debutant Matt Hollard was named Player of the Match after taking 3 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs.

Ireland Innings
Harshit Rana returned after a long injury break and dismissed both Ireland openers during the powerplay. Tim Tector scored 17 runs from 12 balls, while Ross Adair made 12 runs off just 7 balls. Left arm pacer Arshdeep Singh then dismissed Harry Tector for a duck, putting Ireland under early pressure. They reached 36 for 3 at the end of the powerplay.

Allrounder Shivam Dube struck with his first ball, dismissing Ben Calitz for 15 runs. Captain Lorcan Tucker scored 50 from 36 balls, while Gareth Delany made 49 from 32 to guide Ireland to a competitive total. George Dockrell added 19 runs from 10 balls.

Chasing 183 runs, India lost Sanju Samson (5) , Ishan Kishan (1) and Shreyas Iyer (3) cheaply putting the team under early pressure. Debutants Jai Moondra and Matt Hollard took one and two wickets respectively during the first six overs to trouble India. Jai Moondra dismissed Sanju Samson with his very first ball, while Matt Hollard removed Ishan Kishan with his second ball in International cricket.
Left handed opener Abhishek Sharma attacked the Ireland bowlers during the powerplay, keeping India’s hopes alive with positive batting. Liam McCarthy dismissed Abhishek Sharma for 49, dealing India a major blow during the run chase.

Ireland bowlers kept India under pressure by taking wickets at regular intervals and never allowing the batters to settle. Axar Patel and Shivam Dube gave India some hope with a 35 run partnership from 24 balls. India’s hope faded when both batters were dismissed in quick succession, leaving the team in deep trouble.
Shivam Dube scored 25 runs from 14 balls, while Axar Patel made 15 from 16 balls. India were bowled out for 148, handing Ireland their first ever victory over India in International cricket across all formats.
