Sooryavanshi’s (175 runs from 80 balls) helps India beat England by 100 runs to lift their sixth U-19 World Cup title. Batted first India set England a 412 run target and then restricted them to 311. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi named Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament.

Team India won the toss and elected to bat first.
India Innings
Choosing to bat first, Team India lost semi final centurion Aaron George early for just 9 runs to Alex Green. Left hand opener Sooryavanshi and captain Mhatre added 142 runs off 90 balls for the second wicket to steady India. Alex Green provided England their second breakthrough again by dismissing captain Mhatre for 53.

India’s wonder boy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played one of the best U-19 World Cup final innings. He scored 175 runs from 80 balls including 15 fours and 15 sixes. India scored 251 runs in 25.3 overs when he was dismissed by Manny Lumsden.
Abhiyan Kundu (40 off 31) , while Vedant Trivedi (32 off 36) and Vihaan Malhotra (30 off 36) made useful batting contributions for team India. Kanish Chauhan’s 37* off 20 balls at the end helped India cross 400 and set England a 412 run target.

England Innings
R.S.Ambrish provided India an early breakthrough by dismissing opener Joseph Moores for 17. B.J.Dawkins and B.A.Mayes stitched a quick 74 run partnership for the second wicket off 49 balls. Khilan Patel dismissed Ben Mayes for 45 to break the stand.
England batters attacked the Indian bowlers despite losing wickets. At the end of the 22nd over, England were 177 for 7. Caleb Falconer hit a World Cup final century for England before getting out as the final wicket. He scored 115 runs from 67 balls including 9 fours and 7 sixes.

Ben Dawkins scored 66 off 56 balls, Thomas Rew made 31 off 18 and James Minto added 28 off 41. They were finally bowled out for 311 in 40.2 overs.
