Team India vice captain in T20I and opening batter Shubman Gill to undergo fitness test in Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. He missed Duleep Trophy due to illness and resumed light training.
“It is not clear when exactly Gill will undergo fitness tests at Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) facility. But presumably it will be over the next few days. It is likely that Gill will fly to the UAE for the Asia Cup directly from Bengaluru,” the report said.

He didn’t played T20I for India since July 2024. He return to the T20I format for Asia Cup 2025 as India’s vice captain. Suryakumar Yadhav will lead the side.
Gill so far played 21 T20I for India scoring 578 runs with an average of 30.42. He hit one hundred and 3 fifties.
All players will reach Dubai on September 4 and team management is understood to have scheduled the first net session for September 5. It is likely that team team will do their practice session at the ICC Academy in Dubai where they practiced during the Champions Trophy 2025.
India placed in Group A along with Oman , UAE and Pakistan. After the opening match against UAE on September 10 team India will play against arch rivals Pakistan on September 14. Their final match in the group stage was against Oman on September 19.
Top two teams of each group will be headed to Super 4.
