Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has confirmed Dubai and Abu Dhabi as venues for the upcoming Asia Cup which is scheduled to begin from September 9 onwards. The epic India – Pakistan clash will be played in Dubai on September 14th (Sunday).

11 matches of the tournaments will be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will host 8 matches. All matches will begin on 07:30 PM (IST) / 6 PM (UAE). First match of the tournament will be played between Afghanistan and Hong Kong on September 9th in Dubai.

Team Groups

Eight Teams divided into two Groups:-

Group A:- India , Pakistan , UAE , Oman

Group B:- Bangladesh , Srilanka , Afghanistan , Hongkong.

17th edition of the tournament will be played in T20 format keeping in mind the 2026 T20 World Cup which is scheduled to held in India and Srilanka. India beat Srilanka in previous edition of the tournament held in 2023.

India Fixtures

India will begin their tournament on September 10^th against UAE , September 14 (Pakistan) and September 19 (Oman). Dates for India’s matches in Super 4’s depends on their position in league stage.

Why tournament shifted to UAE..?

2025 edition was originally scheduled to be hosted by India now shifted to UAE due to India-Pakistan political tensions. In response , ACC and ICC arrangements established that India-Pakistan matches in the tournaments hosted by one nation would instead take place at neutral venues between 2024 and 2027.
