UP Warriorz appointed Abhishek Nayar as their head coach for the fourth edition of Womens Premier League. He replaces Jon Lewis who coached the franchise team in first three years of the league. His best performance came in 2023 when they reached the Eliminator stage.
Coaching Career
He was part of the Indian Cricket coaching team when they won the 2025 Champions Trophy. He also played an important role as assistant coach helping Kolkata Knight Riders wining 2024 IPL trophy. He also worked with Trinbago Knight Riders head coach in Carribbean Premier League.
Playing Career
Nayar represented India in 3 One day Internationals. He played 103 first class matches scored 5749 runs with highest score of 259. He averages 45.62 including 13 hundreds and 32 fifties. As a bowler he picked 173 FC wickets.
In his List A career he played 99 matches and scored 2145 runs with highest score of 118. He averages 31.08 with 2 hundreds and 10 fifties. He picked 79 wickets as well.

From 99 T20 matches he scored 1291 runs with highest score of 79. Averages 21.51 including 3 fifties. He also have 27 T20 wickets in his name.
