India pace spear head Jasprit Bumrah may not play the final test in The Oval to safeguard his back , keeping long term in mind. BCCI medical team has reportedly taken the tough call to rest Bumrah despite being 2-1 down in the series. Fit Akash Deep likely to replace him.
India head coach Gautham Gambhir and Jasprit Bumrah himself told that he will play only 3 of 5 tests in England even before the series starts. He played in the series opening match at Headingley , sat out at Edgbaston and played the third and fourth Test in Lords and Old Trafford.

Bumrah bowled 119.4 overs in the series so far and picked 14 wickets with best bowling figures of 5/74. He is the second leading wicket taker of the series behind England captain Ben Stokes.
Pacer Akash Deep likely to replace Bumrah in final test. He played 2 tests in the series and picked 11 wickets with best bowling figures of 6/99.

Another huge blow for India is the injury of wicket keeper batter Rishabh Pant. He was forced to leave the field during the opening day of fourth test when the ball hit his right foot while batting.
Allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and left arm pacer Arshdeep Singh also injured during the series. Nitish sustained a left Knee injury during the training and ruled out of the series. Arshdeep suffered a left thumb injury and missed the fourth test.

Oval pitch provides good pace and bounce which favors both spinners and fast bowlers. Bowlers will get help from the pitch especially with the new ball. It is also good for the batting.
For India Oval test is a must win game to level the series. With 2-1 lead in the series England will be happy with a win or draw.
