K.L.Rahul (137 runs from 247 balls) and Rishabh Pant (118 runs from 140 balls) centuries in the second innings helps India set England 371 run target. England were 21/0 at the end of day 4 still 350 runs away from win.

India lost their captain Shubman Gill (8 runs from 16 balls) cheaply on day 4. Gill who scored an outstanding century in first innings was bowled by Brydon Carse in second innings. K.L.Rahul and Rishabh Pant took India to 153/3 at lunch.

K.L.Rahul alongside Rishabh Pant put together crucial 195 runs for the fourth wicket. The stand was India’s highest ever partnership for the fourth wicket during their second innings of a test match in England. The partnership was finally broken by Shoaib Bashir by dismissing Pant.

Rishabh Pant becomes the first Indian wicket keeper batter and second overall to score centuries in both innings of a test match. He score 134 runs in first innings followed by 118 runs in second innings. Before Pant , Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower was the only batter achieved this milestone.

K.L.Rahul scored a magnificent 137 runs from 247 balls before he got out to Brydon Carse. He shared crucial partnership with Sai Sudharsan , Rishabh Pant and Karun Nair. He hit 18 boundaries in his knock of 137.

Karun Nair who got out for duck in first innings scored 20 in second before Woakes caught and bowled him. Team India faced another batting collapse by loosing last 5 wickets for just 31 runs. Ravindra Jadeja (25* runs from 40 balls) remains unbeaten. From 333/5 India bowled out for 364 runs.

Josh Tongue (3/72 in 18 overs) , Brydon Carse (3/80 in 19 overs) , Shoaib Bashir (2/90 in 22 overs) , Chris Woakes (1/45 in 19 overs) and Ben Stokes (1/47 in 15 overs) are the wicket takers for England.

England batted 6 overs before close of play and scored 21 runs without loosing any wicket. Openers Zak Crawley (12* runs from 25 balls) and Ben Duckett (9* runs from 11 balls) will resume the chase on final day.
