Delhi Capitals beat Punjab Kings by 6 wickets and end the IPL 2025 season with a win. They chased down 207 run target set by Punjab in the final over of the match. Sameer Rizwi named Player of the Match for his unbeaten knock of 58 runs from 25 balls.
Put in to bat , Punjab Kings lost their opener Priyansh Arya (6 runs from 9 balls) early. Left arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman dismissed him in the second over of the innings. Josh Inglis blistering innings of 32 runs from 12 balls given Punjab the perfect start after the early loss of Priyansh Arya.

Josh Inglis and Prabhsimran Singh (28 runs from 18 balls) added 47 runs from 21 balls for the second wicket. Captain Shreyas Iyer (53 runs from 34 balls) innings kept Punjab Kings going in the middle phase of the innings. Spinner Kuldeep Yadhav dismissed him in the second over of the 18th over.

Marcus Stoinis(44* runs from 16 balls) innings at the end helps Punjab Kings to reach 206/8 in 20 overs. He hit 3 fours and 4 sixes in his knock.
Mustafizur Rahman (3/33 in 4 overs) , Vipraj Nigam (2/38 in 4 overs) , Kuldeep Yadhav (2/39 in 4 overs) and Mukesh Kumar (1/49 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for Delhi Capitals.
Delhi openers K.L.Rahul (35 runs from 21 balls) and Faf du Plesis (23 runs from 15 balls) given a good start in chase of 207. Marco Jansen provided the breakthrough for Delhi with the price wicket of K.L.Rahul. Left arm spinner Harpreet Brar then dismissed Faf du Plesis in the next over to push Delhi back.

Afghanistan’s Sediqullah Atal who made his IPL debut scored 22 runs from 16 balls before he got out to Praveen Dubey when score reaches 93 in 10.1 overs. Karun Nair (44 runs from 27 balls) and Sameer Rizvi kept Delhi in the game with 62 run partnership from 30 balls. Brar once again provided the breakthrough for Punjab by dismissing Karun Nair.
