India beat New Zealand by 4 wickets in thrilling final and lift the ICC Champions Trophy title for the third time. India chased down 252 run target set by New Zealand in the 49th over of the innings. India captain Rohit Sharma named Player of the Match for his knock of 76 runs from 83 balls.
Choose to bat first New Zealand openers Rachin Ravindra (37 runs from 29 balls) and Will Young (15 runs from 23 balls) given them a decent start by scoring 57 runs in 7.5 overs. Spinner Varun Chakravarthy broke the opening stand by dismissing Will Young.

Kuldeep Yadhav then dismissed Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson (11 runs from 14 balls) to push New Zealand to 75/3 from 57/0. Then Wicket Keeper batter Tom Latham (14 runs from 30 balls) fell to Ravindra Jadeja when score reaches 108 in 23.2 overs.

Daryl Mitchell (63 runs from 101 balls) put together 57 run partnership with Glenn Philips (34 runs from 52 balls) and 46 runs with Michael Bracewell (53* runs from 40 balls) before he got out to Mohammed Shami. Varun Chakrvarthy clean bowled dangerous Glenn Philips in the 38th over.

Kuldeep Yadhav (2/40 in 10 overs) , Varun Chakravarthy (2/45 in 10 overs) , Ravindra Jadeja (1/30 in 10 overs) and Mohammed Shami (1/74 in 9 overs) are the wicket takers for India.
India openers Rohit Sharma (76 runs from 83 balls) and Shubman Gill (31 runs from 50 balls) given India off to a great start by scoring 105 runs for the opening wicket before Glenn Philips took a blinder to dismiss Shubman Gill off Michael Santner.

Michael Bracewell trapped Virat Kohli in front of the stumps for just 1 and Rachin Ravindra dismissed captain Rohit Sharma for 76. Three quick wickets after century run opening stand brought New Zealand back in the game.
Shreyas Iyer (48 runs from 62 balls) and Axar Patel (29 runs from 40 balls) kept the chase in the hunt with 61 run partnership from 75 balls. Captain Santner broke the partnership by dismissing Shreyas Iyer and later Bracewell dismissed Axar Patel.
Calm and composed K.L.Rahul (34* runs from 33 balls) and Hardik Pandya (18 runs from 18 balls) helps India chase down the target in 49th over to lift the title. Ravindra Jadeja (9* runs from 6 balls) hit the winning run with a boundary off Kyle Jamieson.
