Kolkata Knight Riders kept their playoff dreams alive after securing an impressive 29 run victory against Gujarat Titans. Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders posted 247 runs before restricting Gujarat Titans to 218 for 4. Sunil Narine earned Player of the Match award after claiming impressive figures of 2/29 in 4 overs.

The opening pair added 44 runs in 4.3 overs before Mohammed Siraj dismissed Ajinkya Rahane for 14. Finn Allen played another brutal innings and added 95 runs alongside Angkrish Raghuvanshi for the second wicket. Allen smashed 93 runs from just 35 balls before Sai Kishore dismissed him.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi continued his excellent form this season by smashing his fifth half century. He and Cameron Green added unbeaten 108 runs from 53 balls for the third wicket. Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 82 from 44 balls while Cameron Green smashed 52 runs off 28 deliveries.

Dropped catches hurt Gujarat Titans as Allen (14,33) , Raghuvanshi (52) and Green (23) received crucial lifeline during their innings. KKR posted a massive total of 247/2 at the end of 20 overs.

An early blow for Gujarat Titans came when Sai Sudharsan retired hurt during the third over after getting struck. He was batting on 23 when Karthik Tyagi delivery hit his elbow. Along with Gill , Sai Sudharsan stitched together 42 runs from 18 balls.
Nishant Sindhu, replacing injured Sai Sudharsan got out cheaply for one run to Sunil Narine. Narine became the first overseas player in tournament history to complete 200 IPL appearances. Buttler and Gill fought for Gujarat with 128 runs from 73 balls for the second wicket.
Narine again provided breakthrough for KKR by dismissing Gujarat captain Shubman Gill. He scored 85 runs from 49 balls including 5 fours and 7 sixes. Ater his early injury, Sai Sudharsan returned to bat and smashed unbeaten 53 runs from just 28 balls.
Buttler scored 57 from 35 balls, but Gujarat Titans failed chasing down the massive target.
