India seal semi final spot with 8 wicket win over Bangladesh

India beat Bangladesh by 8 wickets in Super 6 stage and enter into semi final of ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2025. India chased down 65 run target set by Bangladesh in just 7.1 overs.

Elected to field first India rattled the Bangladesh batting line up by picking top 5 wickets for just 22 runs in 9.3 overs.

Captain Sumaiya Akter (21* runs from 29 balls) and Jannatul Maoua (14 runs from 20 balls) innings took them to 64/8 in 20 overs.

Left arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma once again shines with the ball by taking 3 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs.

V.J.Joshitha (1/6 in 3 overs) , Gongadi Trisha (1/6 in 2 overs) Shabnam Shakil (1/7 in 2 overs) are the other wicket takers for India.

Opener Gongadi Trisha (40 runs from 31 balls) innings helped India finish the game quickly to seal the semi final spot.

Sanika Chalke (11* runs from 5 balls) and captain Nikki Prasad (5* runs from 2 balls) remains unbeaten.

Habiba Islam (1/15 in 2 overs) and Anisa Akther Soba (1/29 in 3 overs) are the wicket takers for Bangladesh.

Australia and South Africa also secured their spot in the semifinal.
