Travis Head (140 runs from 141 balls) and pacers help Australia takes control against India in second test at Adelaide. India were 128/5 at end of day 2 after conceding 157 run first innings lead , India still trail by 29 runs.

Resuming from the overnight score of 86/1 Australia lost Nathan McSweeney (39 runs from 109 balls) and Steve Smith (2 runs from 11 balls) early on day 2.

Travis Head scintillating century took Australia to 337. He smashes 17 fours and 4 sixes in his 140 run knock. Marnus Labuschagne scored 64 from 126 balls.

For India Jasprit Bumrah (4/61 in 23 overs) and Mohammed Siraj (4/98 in 24.3 overs) took 4 wickets each and Nitish Kumar Reddy (1/25 in 6 overs) and Ravichandran Ashwin (1/53 in 18 overs) took 1 wicket each.

Trail by 157 runs in first innings , India lost K.L.Rahul (7 runs from 10 balls) , Yashasvi Jaiswal (24 runs from 31 balls) , Virat Kohli (11 runs from 21 balls) , Shubman Gill (28 runs from 30 balls) and captain Rohit Sharma (6 runs from 15 balls) for 128 runs.

Rishabh Pant (28* runs from 25 balls) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (15* runs from 14 balls) will resume the innings for India on day 3. Both so far added 23 runs from 19 balls for the sixth wicket.

Pat Cummins (2/33 from 8 overs) , Scott Boland (2/39 from 7 overs) and Mitchell Starc (1/49 in 9 overs) are the wicket takers for Australia so far.
