Australia left arm pacer Mitchell Starc’s career best Test figures of 6 for 48 bowled India out for 180 in first day of second test at Adelaide. Australia were 86/1 at the end of day 1.
Elected to bat first India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal on the first ball of the match. Left arm pacer Mitchell Starc trapped Jaiswal in front of the stumps.

K.L.Rahul (37 runs from 64 balls) and Shubman Gill (31 runs from 51 balls) put together 69 runs from 113 balls for the second wicket. Mitchell Starc broke the partnership by dismissing K.L.Rahul.
From 69/1 India slipped to 82/4 at Lunch. India lost K.L.Rahul (37 runs from 64 balls) , Virat Kohli (7 runs from 8 balls) and Shubman Gill (31 runs from 51 balls) during the period.
Scott Boland trapped India captain Rohit Sharma (3 runs from 23 balls) in front of the stumps after lunch.

Allrounder Nithish Kumar Reddy scored 42 runs from 54 balls and smashed 3 fours and 3 sixes. Wicket keeper batter Rishabh Pant made 21 and bowling allrounder Ashwin scored 22 in India’s total of 180.
