Chandika Hathurusingha keen to complete coaching contract with Bangladesh men’s national team until Champions Trophy 2025.

Former Srilanka International player appointed as Bangladesh head coach in 2023 on a 2 year contract.

It was Chandika Hathurusingha second stint as Bangladesh Head coach after 2014-17 before he left to coach Srilanka.

Due to the recent political turmoil in the country there is a strong possibility of a major shakeup in Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Hasturusingha is preparing Bangladesh team for the two match test series against Pakistan which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday at Rawalpindi.

“I have signed a contract till whatever the date and I’m looking forward to serve that term. If the board (is) changed and the new people want to make a change, I’m ok with that. (If) they want me to continue , if they are happy with me , I’m happy with that. Thoughts and prayers are with the families that lost loved ones,” Hathurusingha told.
