Dominant India beat New Zealand by eight wickets to take unassailable 3-0 lead in series. Abhishek, who smashed the second fastest fifty and Suryakumar Yadhav’s second half century in a row helped India chase down 154 in 10 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah earned Player of the Match for his outstanding spell of 3 for 17 in his four overs.

Toss

Suryakumar Yadhav won the toss and asked New Zealand to bat first.

New Zealand Innings

Harshit Rana, who opened the bowling for India, once again dismissed Devon Conway for one in his opening over. Hardik Pandya’s spectacular catch at mid off provided India with the first wicket. In the very next over, Hardik Pandya dismissed the other left hander Rachin Ravindra for four.

Pacer Jasprit Bumrah struck with the very first ball of the final powerplay over, dismissing Tim Seifert for 12. At the end of the powerplay, Kiwis stood at 36 for 3.

Glenn Phillips and Mark Chapman added momentum to New Zealand innings with a 52 run partnership from 41 balls. Sanju Samson took a sharp catch off Ravi Bishnoi’s bowling to dismiss Mark Chapman for 32. They then lost wickets at regular intervals, finishing on 153 for 9 in their 20 overs.

Glenn Phillips scored 48 runs from 40 balls, while captain Mitchell Santner added 27 runs from 17 balls.

India Innings

Sanju Samson continued his poor batting form as he was clean bowled by Matt Henry on the first ball of India’s chase. Ishan Kishan started from where he left off in the last game but was dismissed by Ish Sodhi for 28 from 13.

Abhishek Sharma played an extraordinary knock of 68* runs from 20 balls, including 7 fours and 5 sixes. He struck the second fastest international half century, reaching 50 runs in just 14 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadhav scored 57 runs from 26 balls, hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Both added an unbeaten 102 runs from 40 balls, helping India cross the line in just 10 overs. With this win India sealed the five match series 3-0, with two games still remaining.
