Leading the five match series 2-0, Team India looks to wrap up the series in Guwahati. New Zealand, on the other hand, must win all the remaining matches to win the series.
In the first T20I, India beat New Zealand by 48 runs. India restricted New Zealand to 190/7 after setting them a challenging target of 239 runs. Suryakumar Yadhav (82* off 37 balls) and Ishan Kishan (76 off 32 balls) helped India chase down a 209 run target in just 15.2 overs in the second T20I.

Captain Suryakumar Yadhav’s return to form is the biggest boost for India ahead of the third T20I. In last T20I he hit his first half century in last 23 innings.
Allrounder Jimmy Neesham will join the New Zealand squad ahead of the third T20I. Fast bowler Lockie Ferguson recovering from a calf injury, has already joined the team. Opening batter Finn Allen will be available for the final T20I scheduled in Thiruvanathapuram.

Axar Patel, recovering from a finger injury is unlikely to return to the playing XI. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be back in the playing XI.
