
India goes 2-1 up in the series
India beat South Africa comfortably by seven wickets in the third ODI at Dharamsala to go 2-1 up. Bowled out South Africa for 117 India chased the target in 15.5 overs, winning the match comfortably.

South Africa Innings
Pacers made early inroads into South Africa’s batting lineup, dismissing three batters for just seven runs within 3.1 overs. Reeza Hendricks (0) , Quinton de Kock (1) and Dewald brevis (2) were dismissed inside the powerplay. They were reeling at 25/3 at the end of the powerplay.
Harshit Rana picked up two wickets and Arshdeep Singh claimed one, dismantling South Africa in first 6 overs.

Proteas lost Tristan Stubbs (9) in the first over after powerplay, damaging their innings. Shivam Dube, introduced after halfway stage, cleaned up Corbin Bosch(4) with his very first delivery.

Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Donovan Ferreira (20) and Marco Jansen (2) in consecutive overs reducing South Africa to 77/7. Captain Aiden Markram’s lone effort of 61 runs from 46 balls carried South Africa to 117 in their 20 overs. They could have added a few more runs had Markram not been dismissed by Arshdeep in the 19th over.
All Indian bowlers were economical in their spells, with Arshdeep Singh leading the attack by picking up 2/13.

Abhishek Sharma provided India a brisk start, smashing 35 runs off 18 balls. He and Shubman Gill added 60 runs for the opening wicket in 5.2 overs. Corbin Bosch broke the opening stand by dismissing Abhishek.
Gill, who scored 28 off 28, was not as fluent as usual, Marco Jansen clean bowled him. India captain Suryakumar Yadhav’s poor form continued as he was dismissed for just 12 runs.
Tilak Varma’s 26 run innings from 34 balls brought India closer, and Shivam Dube finished the match with a six and four.
