John Campbell (87*) and Shai Hope (66*0 led West Indies fightback on Day 3. This came after India enforced follow on , putting pressure on the visitors. At end of the day they were 173/2 still trail by 97 runs
Day 3 – First session
West Indies resumed at 140/4, aiming to build on overnight score. Shai Hope fell after adding 16 more runs to team total. Kuldeep bowled a beauty , completely cleaning Shai Hope’s off-stump.
Tevin Imlach , overnight batter , fell to Kuldeep’s leg spin for 21. He was trapped in front of the stumps. In the morning , Kuldeep gave India their third breakthrough , dismissing Justin Greaves for 17.

Mohammad Siraj became first pacer to take a wicket , dismissing Jomel Warrican for 1. Khary Pierre and Anderson Philip frustrated India with a resilient 42 run stand for the ninth wicket.
India dominated the morning session , taking four wickets to leave West Indies 217/8 at lunch.
Day 3 – Second session
Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah struck in the first over after lunch ending 46 run ninth wicket partnership. He clean bowled Khary Pierre for 23. Anderson Philip and Jayden Seales added 27 runs for the tenth wicket.
Kuldeep ended the innings , claiming a five-wicket haul for India. Jayden Seales was the last batter dismissed for 13 runs.
Wicket Takers – India
Kuldeep Yadhav bagged 5 for 82 , his fifth five wicket haul in tests. West Indies were bowled out for 248 in 81.5 overs. Kuldeep was undoubtedly India’s best bowler of the innings, showcasing exceptional control and variation.
Ravindra Jadeja (3/46 in 19 overs) , Mohammad Siraj (1/16 in 9 overs) and Jasprit Bumrah (1/40 in 14 overs) are the other wicket takers for India.
Follow on
India took a massive 270 run first innings lead and enforced the follow-on against West Indies.
West Indies – second innings
West Indies began their innings with a deficit of 270 runs and lost opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul for just 10. Gill took a brillant diving catch to dismiss him off Siraj’s bowling. Washington Sundar bowled a brillant delivery to clean bowl Alick Athanaze for 7 , ending the session.
Day 3 – Third session
John Campbell (87* from 145 balls) and Shai Hope (66* from 103 balls) staged a strong comeback for West Indies in the final session. Both together added unbeaten 138 runs for the third wicket so far.
It was Campbell’s highest test score , while Hope crossed fifty for the first time in 31 innings.
