Jaiswal (175 runs from 258 balls) and Shubman Gill (129 runs from 196 balls) powered India to a commanding position at end of Day 2. India declared their innings at 518/5 , while West Indies reach 140/4 in reply.

India won the toss and elected to bat first
India Innings
Jaiswal and K.L.Rahul gave India a solid start , adding 58 runs for the first wicket. Wicketkeeper Imlach stumped Rahul off Waarrican’s bowling as he stepped out to play a shot. Rahul scored 38 off 54 balls, hitting five fours and a six.

Sai Sudharsan and Jaiswal added 193 runs off 306 balls, putting India in a strong position. Jaiswal , on the course , struck a magnificent century – his seventh in Test cricket. Sudharsan , on the other hand scored his second test half century.

Left arm spinner Warrican trapped Sai Sudharsan lbw just as he was well set for his maiden Test ton. He scored 87 runs from 165 balls , including 12 boundaries
Captain Shubman Gill and Jaiswal took India to 318/2 ending Day 1 without further loss of wickets.
Day 2
Resuming overnight at 318/2 with Jaiswal on 173, he was run out after a disastrous miscommunication with Gill. He added just two more to his to his total on Day 2. In his innings of 175, he struck 22 boundaries.
Nithish Kumar Reddy, promoted to No.5, played positive cricket, scoring 43 off 54 balls before Warrican provided another breakthrough for West Indies Gill , in the form of his life , scored another century – his 10th in tests and 5th as captain.

India declared their innings at 518 , with Dhruv Jurel dismissed for 44. Shubman Gill remains unbeaten on 129.
Wicket Takers – West Indies
3 wickets for 98 runs in 34 overs , Jomel Warrican was West Indies most successful bowler. Roston Chase (1/83 in 17.2 overs) was the other wicket taker for them
West Indies – Innings
A blinder from Sudharsan gave India an early wicket, catching campbell at short leg off Jadeja’s bowling. He was dismissed for 10. Alick Athanaze (10 off 84) and Tagenarine Chanderpaul (34 off 67) steadied the innings with a 66 run second wicket partnership.
India came out strong , taking three quick wickets in succession. Alick Athanaze , Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Roston Chase (0 runs from 7 balls) are the batters dismissed during the phase.

Shai Hope (31 off 46) and Tevin Imlach (14 off 31) guided West Indies to 140/4 at the end of the day’s play.
