New Zealand announced their 15 member squad for Champions Trophy and tri-series in Pakistan. They have picked fast bowlers Ben Sears and Will O’Rourke along side all-rounder Nathan Smith.

Ben Sears who returned after a knee injury didn’t played any ODIs for New Zealand. He represented them in 1 Test and 17 T20Is.

Mitchell Santner will lead the side for the first time in an ICC event for Kiwis. Kane Willamson , Devon Conway and Lockie Ferguson recalled to an experienced New Zealand squad.

The same squad will play tri-series in Pakistan ahead of Champions Trophy which will also feature South Africa.

New Zealand placed in Group A alongside India , Bangladesh and Pakistan. They will begin their campaign in tournament’s opening match against Pakistan in Karachi on February 19.

“We are currently blessed with a lot of quality players and that certainly made for some challenging selection discussions ,” head coach Gary Stead said.
