Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India women squad for the 3 match ODI series against Ireland which is scheduled to begin from January 10th onwards. Regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur and pacer Renuka Singh rested for the series.

Left hand opening batter Smriti Mandhana named captain for the series with all-rounder Deepti Sharma as her deputy. Shafali Verma failed to find the place in the 15 member squad. All three ODI of the series will be played at Rajkot , Gujarat.
Pooja Vastrakar who is undergoing rehab since the T20 World Cup last year didn’t got selected. Pratika Rawal and Tanuja Kanwar who made India debut against West Indies recently kept their place in the squad.

Arundhati Reddy and Radha Yadhav dropped from the squad. Meanwhile , Tejal Hasabnis made a comeback into the squad. The selectors have recalled Raghavi Bist and Sayali Satghare.
So far India and Ireland played 13 ODI’s and India won 12 out of it and 1 match was abandoned.
