Former Bangladesh captain Khaled Mahmud resigns as Bangladesh Cricket Board director. Mahmud , who was first elected as a director in 2013 after defeating Gazi Ashraf Hossain served 3 consecutive terms in the role.

However , his latest term as BCB director cut short due to political shift in the country. Earlier Nazmul Hassan step down as BCB president after stayed on the role for a period of 12 years.

He served as the chairman of BCB’s game development committee for many years overseeing the development of young talents in the country.

One of the greatest achievements under his tenure was Bangladesh under-19 team won the ICC cricket world cup in 2020.

Mahmud also served as the interim head coach and team manager of the Bangladesh National Cricket team.

As a player Khaled Mahmud played 12 tests and 77 ODI’s for Bangladesh.
