Suryakumar Yadhav has been declared fit and likely to play for Mumbai Indians next match against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede stadium , Mumbai. He has been cleared by the National Cricket Academy.

SKY suffered a grade II tear in his ankle during the T20I series in South Africa and was initially ruled out for seven weeks. He later underwent an operation for sports hernia , which further delayed his return to cricket.

“He is fit now. The NCA made him play a few practice games and he looked good. He can jopin the Mumbai Indians team. We wanted to be sure that when Surya goes back to MI , he is 100% fit and ready to play games. He wasn’t feeling 100% during his first fitness test before the IPL , so we waited to see if there was any pain while he was batting, ” a source in the BCCI confirmed.

Mumbai lost all the three matches they played so far in this year IPL under new captain Hardik Pandya. Suryakumar Yadhav’s come back is a much needed boost for the Mumbai Indians.

The star T20 batter scored 3249 runs from 139 IPL matches with a strike rate of 143.32 including 21 fifties and one century.
