Sunrises Hyderabad beat Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets at Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad. After restricting CSK to 165/5 they chased down the target in 18.1 overs with 6 wickets remaining.

CSK started their innings decently by scoring 48 runs in the powerplay for the loss of their opener Rachin Ravindra (12 runs from 9 balls). Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed him in the first ball of the fourth over to give Sunrises the first breakthrough.

Left arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed then dismissed CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (26 runs from 21 balls) when they reached 54 in 7.1 overs. At the half way stage of the innings CSK were 84/2.

Sunrises Hyderabad bowlers bowled extremely well in the final stages of the innings especially with pace off deliveries to restrict CSK to 165/5 in 20 overs.

Shivam Dube who was the top scorer for CSK smashed 45 runs from just 24 balls including 2 fours and 4 sixes. Ajinkya Rahane (35 runs from 30 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (31* runs from 23 balls) given useful contribution with the bat.

Shahbaz Ahmed (1/11 in 1 over) , Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/28 in 4 overs) , Pat Cummins (1/29 in 4 overs) , Jaydev Unadkat (1/29 in 4 overs) and Thangarasu Natarajan (1/39 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for Sunrises Hyderabad.

Abhishek Sharma given Sunrises brisk start in the chase by scoring 37 runs in just 12 balls before he got out to Deepak Chahar. Travis Head who was dropped by Moeen Ali off Deepak Chahar in the first ball of the innings scored 31 runs from 24 balls.
