LSG pacer Shivam Mavi ruled out of IPL 2024 due to injury

Lucknow Super Giants pacer Shivam Mavi ruled out of the ongoing IPL with an injury. He missed competitive cricket since August 2023 despite pre-season training with the team.

LSG bought Mavi for Rs.6.4 crores at this years IPL auction. He didn’t played any games in this years IPL so far.

He picked 53 wickets from 52 T20s he played so far. LSG yet to name a replacement for him.

“I will miss you a lot. I came after injury. I thought that I will play matches with the team and do good for the team. But unfortunately, I have to go because I have an injury. A cricketer has to mentally strong enough to know how he will bounce back if he gets injured. We have a very good team here. I would to tell the fans to keep supporting us. There is nothing without fans. I will cheer for my team. I hope our team wins,” Mavi said.

LSG stands fourth in the points table with 2 wins and 1 loss from 3 games.
