Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrises Hyderabad by 4 runs in last ball thriller in Eden Gardens. After setting 209 run target KKR restricted Sunrises Hyderabad to 204/7. Andre Russel (64* runs from 25 balls & 2/25 in 2 overs) named Player of the Match for his all round performance.

Elected to field first SRH dismissed Sunil Narine (2 runs from 4 balls) , Venkatesh Iyer (7 runs from 5 balls) and Shreyas Iyer (0 run from 2 balls) inside the power play. Natarajan dismissed Venkatesh Iyer and KKR captain Shreyas Iyer in the 4th over of the innings.

Opener Phil Salt (54 runs from 40 balls) and Ramandeep Singh (35 runs from 17 balls) added 54 runs from 29 balls for the 5th wicket before Pat Cummins dismissed Ramandeep Singh. Spinner Mayank Markande then dismissed Phil Salt for 54.

Rinku Singh (23 runs from 15 balls) and Andre Russell’s blistering innings of 64* runs from 25 balls including 3 fours and 7 sixes took KKR to 208/7. Both added 81 runs from 33 balls for the seventh wicket.

Thangarasu Natarajan (3/32 in 4 overs) , Mayank Markande (2/39 in 4 overs) and Pat Cummins (1/32 in 4 overs) are the wicket takers for Sunrises Hyderabad.

Openers Mayank Agarwal (32 runs from 21 balls) and Abhishek Sharma (32 runs from 19 balls) given SRH a quick start in the powerplay. Harshit Rana broke the opening stand by dismissing Mayank Agarwal and Russel later dismissed Abhishek Sharma also in quick sucession.

Spinner Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Aiden Makram(18 runs from 13 balls) and Sunil Narine dismissed Rahul Tripathi (20 runs from 20 balls) to push SRH to 111/4 in 13 overs.

Heinrich Klassen (63 runs from 29 balls) hit 8 sixes in his 29 ball knock along with Abdul Samad (15 runs from 11 balls) and Shahbaz Ahmed (16 runs from 5 balls) brought them closed to win.

Defending 13 runs in the final over Harshit Rana held his nerve to give KKR 4 run win after hitting the first ball for a six by Klassen. He also dismissed Klassen and Shahbaz in the final over of the match.
