Indian women cricket team created history by beating Australia for the first time in a test match. Chasing 75 run target in the second innings team India chased down the target with 8 wickets remaining. With this win India won the one off test series 1-0.

Resuming the overnight score of 233/5 Australia bowled out of 261 in the first session of final days play. Pooja Vastrakar dismissed Ashleigh Gardner (7 runs from 27 balls) before they add any runs for the day.

Indian spinners Sneh Rana and Rajeswari Gayakwad wraps up the Australian innings quickly. Sneh Rana (4/63 in 22 overs) , Harmanpreet Kaur (2/23 in 9 overs) , Rajeswari Gayakwad (2/42 in 28.4 overs) and Pooja Vastrakar (1/40 in 11 overs) are the wicket takers for India in second innings.

India lost opener Shafali Verma (4 runs from 4 balls) in the first over to Kim Garth chasing 75. Smriti Mandhana (38 runs from 61 balls) innings helped India to reach the target in 18.4 overs. Jemimah Rodrigues (12* runs from 15 balls) remains not out with Smriti Mandhana. Richa Ghosh scored 13 runs from 32 balls.
