IPL 2024 will allow bowlers to bowl two bouncers per over. Earlier bowler can bowl only one bouncer per over. The decision aims to enhance the balance between bat and ball in the shortest format of the game.

Following a successful trail during the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy 2023-24 BCCI decided to introduce the same in the world’s biggest T20 league.

“I do feel two bouncers an over is very much useful , and I feel it’s one of those things which gives the bowlers an added advantage over the batsman,” Jaydev Unadkat told Espncricinfo.

Impact rule which was introduced in IPL last year will continue in this season 2024 also. IPL 2024 is likely to schedule between March 22 and the end of May.
