Indian women cricket team dominates day 1 of the one off test against Australia in Wankhede. Indian bowlers bowled Australia out for 219 and they were 98/1 at the end of days play. Smriti Mandhana (43* runs from 49 balls) and Sneh Rana (4* runs from 8 balls) were at the crease.
Elected to bat first Australia lost Phoebe Litchfield (0 runs from 0 balls) in the first over of the innings. Her innings ended in runout after miscommunication with her partner Beth Monney. Pooja Vastrakar bowled a beautiful delivery to clean bowled Ellyse Perry (4 runs from 2 balls) cheaply who walked to bat at No.3.

Beth Mooney (40 runs from 94 balls) and Tahlia McGrath (50 runs from 56 balls) brought Australia back on track by putting together 80 runs from 122 balls for the third wicket. Sneh Rana given India the much needed breakthrough by dismissing dangerous Tahlia McGrath after reaching her half century.
Pooja Vastrakar then dismissed Aussie opener Beth Mooney just before the lunch. At the end of first session they were 103/4.
Australian captain Alyssa Healey (38 runs from 75 balls) and Annabel Sutherland (16 runs from 58 balls) started well in the post lunch session. Both added 40 runs for the fifth wicket before Deepthi Sharma clean bowled Alyssa Healey for 38.
Australia then lost Annabel Sutherland , Ashleigh Gardner (11 runs from 26 balls) and Alana King (5 runs from 11 balls) quickly. They lost 4 wickets for 77 runs in the second session and finishes the session on 180/8.

Kim Garth (28* runs from 71 balls) innings who came to bat at No.10 helps Australia to go past 200 and reach 219 in their first innings. Indian pacer Pooja Vastrakar (4/53 in 16 overs) was the most successful bowler for the women in blue. Sneh Rana (3/56 in 22.4 overs) and Deepthi Sharma (2/45 in 19 overs) are the other wicket takers for India.

Smriti Mandhana (43*runs from 49 balls) and Shafali Verma (40 runs from 59 balls) given India perfect start with the bat by scoring 90 runs from just 102 balls for the first wicket. Left arm spinner Jess Jonassen trapped Shafali Verma in front of the stumps to broke the stand.
Sneh Rana (4* runs from 8 balls) who walks to bat at No.3 remains not out along with the opener Smriti Mandhana. At the end of the days play India were 98/1 trail by 121 runs.
