Mohammad Siraj’s extraordinary spell of 6/21 helps India lift their 8th Asia Cup title. India bowled Srilanka out for just 50 runs in 15.2 overs and chased it down in 6.1 overs with 10 wickets remaining.
Jasprit Bumrah given India a perfect start by dismissing Kusal Perera 0(2) in the third ball of the first over. Mohammad Siraj bowled a dream spell by picking 6 Srilankan wickets out of which 4 wickets taken in the fourth over of the innings.
Five Srilankan batters got out for a duck and 4 batters got out in single digit score. Kusal Mendis (17 runs from 34 balls) was the top scorer. Dushan Hemantha (13* runs from 15 balls) remains not out for Srilanka.
Hardik Pandya wrap up the tail quickly by picking 3 wickets in 2.2 overs.
