Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah may miss the entire ODI World cup in India which is set to begin on October 5th due to shoulder injury. It is a big blow to the Pakistan’s preparation for the mega event.

“The Pakistan’s Cricket Board’s medical team has been monitoring the status of Naseem Shah’s shoulder injury sustained during the Asia Cup 2023. Medical consultations with experts are underway to provide the best possible care to Naseem Shah. The PCB medical panel will decide on his return to cricket on further assessments” , PCB stated.
In his short carrier so far Naseem Shah picked 51 wickets from 17 test matches , 32 wickets from 14 ODI’s and 15 wickets from 19 T20I’s so far. He didn’t played the last must win game for Pakistan against Srilanka in Asia Cup 2023. Pakistan lost the match in last by by 2 wickets and knocked out of the tournament.
Pakistan will begin their World cup campaign against Netherland on October 6th and they will face India on October 14th.
