Brilliant knock from Ishan Kishan(103) and a lethal second spell from Arshdeep Singh (5/51) powered India to a comfortable 4-1 series win. Batted first, India set a 272 run target and then bowled New Zealand out for 225 in 19.4 overs.
Scored his first T20I century, Ishan Kishan was named Player of the Match for his brilliant inninigs. In his knock of 103 runs off 43 balls, he smashed six fours and 10 sixes. Suryakumar Yadhav was named Player of the series after scoring 242 runs, including three half centuries.

India captain Suryakumar Yadhav won the toss and elected to bat first.
India Innings
Opening wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson once again disappointed, getting out to Ferguson for just six. Abhishek Sharma once again provided a flying start, scoring 30 runs from just 16 balls. At the end of the powerplay India were 54/2.

Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadhav added a mammoth 137 runs off 58 balls for the third wicket. New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner broke the partnership by dismissing India captain Suryakumar Yadhav for 63. During the partnership, Suryakumar Yadhav became the fastest player to reach 3000 T20I runs in terms of balls faced.
Left hand batter Ishan Kishan’s scintillating century and Hardik Pandya’s 42 off 17 cameo helped India post 271/5 in 20 overs.

New Zealand Innings
Chasing the mammoth 272 run target, New Zealand lost opener Tim Seifert for 5 in the first over to Arshdeep Singh. Finn Allen took the attack to the Indian bowlers, along with Rachin Ravindra. Together, they put on a 100 run partnership in just 48 balls.
Allen scored 80 runs off just 38 balls before being dismissed by Axar Patel. He hit 8 fours and 6 sixes during his explosive innings. At the halfway stage, New Zealand were 131/2.

In the second half, Indian bowlers made a strong comeback, halving New Zealand’s scoring by taking wickets at regular intervals. Finally they were bowled out for 225 in 19.4 overs.
Other main scorers for New Zealand included Rachin Ravindra with 30 off 17 , Daryl Mitchell 26 off 12 and Ish Sodhi 33 off 15.

After conceding 40 runs in his first two overs, Arshdeep Singh made a strong comeback to finish with five wickets. Arshdeep Singh (5/51 in 4 overs) , Axar Patel (3/33 in 4 overs) , Rinku Singh (1/7 in 0.4 overs) and Varun Chakravarthy (1/36 in 4 overs).
