A dominant 30 run victory over South Africa helped the hosts secure a commanding 3-1 series triumph. Batting first, India set South Africa a 232 run target and restricted them to 201/8 in 20 overs.

After winning the toss, South Africa chose to bowl first.
India Innings
Two changes to playing XI for India as Sanju replaced injured Gill and Washington Sundar came in for Kuldeep.
Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson gave India a flying start, putting on a brisk 63 run opening stand in 5.4 overs. Corbin Bosch provided South Africa the first breakthrough by dismissing Abhishek Sharma for well made 34.

Sanju Samson, who returned to the XI after a while, looked in good touch before George Linde cleaned him up for 37. Captain Suryakumar Yadav continued his lean patch as Corbin Bosch dismissed him for just 5 off 7 deliveries.

Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya’s quickfire partnership of 105 runs off just 45 balls put India on course for a big total. Tilak smashed 73 off 42 balls while Hardik blazed 63 from just 25 deliveries to power India forward strongly.
The innings ended on 231/5, setting South Africa a challenging target of 232 runs to chase.

Quinton de Kock gave South Africa the perfect start with his aggressive and attacking batting approach. South Africa scored 67 runs without losing any wickets in the powerplay overs. Varun Chakravarthy gave India the first breakthrough in the first over after the powerplay dismissing Reeza Hendricks for 13.

The turning point of the match came in the 11th over when Bumrah dismissed the dangerous Quinton de Kock for 65. Hardik Pandya then struck in the very next over, dismissing Dewald Brevis for 31.
In the 13th over, Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Aiden Markram and Donovan Ferreira in consecutive balls, pushing South Africa to 135/5. The bowlers finally restricted South Africa to 201 for 8, securing both the match victory and the series win.
India Wicket Takers
When every other bowlers leaked runs, Jasprit Bumrah delivered an economical spell, taking 2 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs. Spinner Varun Chakravarthy claimed 4 wickets for 53 runs in his 4 overs.
Hardik Pandya (1/41 in 3 overs) and Arshdeep Singh (1/47 in 4 overs) are the other wicket takers for India.
