
Fourth T20I abandoned due to Fog
The fourth T20I between India and South Africa at Lucknow was abandoned due to excessive fog. The toss scheduled for 6:30pm did not take place as umpires called off the match after several inspections.
India now leads the five match series 2-1 and with the fourth match abandoned, India cannot lose the series. The series decider will be played in Ahmedabad on December 19, Friday, promising an exciting finish.

Air Quality Index was around 400 near the scheduled start time, which is considered hazardous conditions for players. India allrounder Hardik Pandya was seen wearing a mask before the match started at the venue.
It is not the first time a cricket match has been abandoned due to fog affecting visibility and playing conditions. The India vs New Zealand match at 2023 ODI World Cup in Dharamsala was halted twice due to fog.
The washout sparked debate over BCCI’s decision to schedule matches in Northern India during winter conditions and pollution concerns.
