In the Visakhapatnam series decider, India convincingly defeated South Africa by nine wickets to secure an impressive series win. India bowled out South Africa for 270 and chased the target in the 40th over with nine wickets remaining.
Jaiswal earned Player of the Match for his maiden ODI century, while Kohli claimed Player of the series.
Toss
After 20 failed attempts, India finally won an ODI toss and chose to field first in this match.
South Africa Innings
Proteas got off to a poor start, losing Ryan Rickelton for a duck in the first over of innings. He edged one off Arshdeep Singh and K.L.Rahul completed a simple catch behind the stumps. He got out for a duck in both innings he played during the series.

Captain Bavuma and Quinton de Kock steadied South Africa’s innings with a crucial 113 run partnership for the second wicket. Jadeja finally broke the partnership by dismissing Bavuma, who fell just two runs short of another half century.
Quinton de Kock, along with Breetzke, lifted the run rate with a brisk 54 run partnership off just 44 balls. Prasidh Krishna’s double wicket over, removing Breetzke (24) and Markram (1), pushed South Africa firmly on the back foot.

After scoring 23rd ODI century, Quinton de Kock was bowled by Prasidh Krishna, providing another crucial wicket for India. Indian bowlers took complete control of the match after his wicket, tightening their grip on the South African innings.
Finally, they were bowled out for 270 in 47.5 overs overs, setting India a target of 271 runs.
Wicket Takers – India
Kuldeep dismantled South Africa’s middle and lower order, finishing with impressive figures of 4 for 41 in his 10 overs. Prasidh Krishna, who claimed crucial wickets in the middle overs, finished with figures of 4 for 66 in 9.5 overs.
Arshdeep Singh (1/36 in 8 overs) and Ravindra Jadeja (1/50 in 9 overs) are the other wicket takers for India.
India Innings
Chasing a target of 271, openers Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma built a brillant 155 run partnership in 25.5 overs. During his innings, Rohit Sharma became the fourth Indian, after Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli to score 20,000 international runs.

Keshav Maharaj broke the opening partnership by dismissing Rohit Sharma for 75. He struck 7 fours and 3 sixes during his innings.

Virat Kohli (65*) and Jaiswal (116*) finished the match in the 40th over, winning with nine wickets remaining. Both added 116 runs from 84 balls for the second wicket.
Left handed opener Jaiswal scored his first ODI century and remained unbeaten on 116. He became the sixth Indian to score century in all three formats. Virat Kohli, who had scored back to back centuries, continued his rich form with an unbeaten 65.
